GCSFNE Scholarship Awards Will Rise to $5,000 per Student in 2022

Press release from the issuing company

Southborough, MA—The Graphic Communications Scholarship Fund of New England recently decided to raise their scholarship awards to a flat rate of $5,000 per student regardless if they attend a two year or four year program in graphic communications.

With the cost of education continuing to rise, the GCSFNE committee members decided to raise the awards from the previous range of $1500-$2000 to the current $5,000 amount.

“It's very important for students to know there is a scholarship fund that will assist them in furthering their education in the graphic communications field," said Ward McLaughlin, President of Boutwell, Owens & Co. and Chairman of the GCSFNE scholarship committee. “Our industry needs bright young people interested in finding a career with us. It's no longer an industry characterized by ink under the fingernails, but one needing talent and expertise in areas as diverse as data management, IT, workflow engineering, equipment operation, sales and business management.”

GCSFNE conducts fundraising efforts throughout the year to enable the expansion of the number of scholarships awarded each year. Scholarships are awarded to students attending two and four year accredited programs.
