Markzware Announces Debut of Markzscout v2.0 for Mac

Press release from the issuing company

SANTA ANA, CA., April 3, 2001 -- MarkzScout is a workflow automation application for the publishing and prepress industry. Markzware has released its latest version with powerful enhancements to include a PDF creator, job flattening and improved FlightCheck integration and job collection. MarkzScout is a prepress workflow application that allows you to easily create your own automated workflow. It is designed to fit into any prepress operation to streamline the preflighting process by detecting problems and then activating other applications to automatically correct the detected problems. MarkzScout supports all the major DTP and graphic arts applications. Improved and Enhanced Scripting Language The built-in, cross-platform scripting language has been enhanced in many ways to allow the creation of micro-solutions that run unmodified in both environments. Job Flattening This new feature separates individual component files from an entire job, and joins them back later. This allows separate processing of individual job elements by MarkzScout. Improved FlightCheck Integration Integration of FlightCheck has been improved with the addition of a Checkpoint that routes files to FlightCheck and includes an automated "collect job" feature in the workflow, as well as allowing you to make a "FlightCheck Pass" yes/no Checkpoint. The price of MarkzScout v2.0 for Macintosh is $999 MSRP. An upgrade from v1.2 to v2.0 is available for $199.
