SACRAMENTO -- March 14, 2001 -- net-linx Publishing Solutions has
appointed Ron Stephens to the post of National Sales Director, North
America. Stephens brings 20 years experience within the newspaper
publishing technology industry to net-linx where he now heads up the
12-strong net-linx US sales team.
Stephens is in fact returning to familiar territory at net-linx. From 1986
to 1996 he held senior sales roles at Sii which is now part of the new
net-linx Publishing Solutions organization. Most recently he was a Sales
Director at Unisys and Vice President Sales for Atex Media Solutions.
Sacramento-based Stephens said: "The formation of net-linx Publishing
Solutions has created a market leading company with a powerful set of
solutions. This is an exciting time to be joining the company and I am
looking forward to playing a role in its future growth. The newspaper
market will face many new challenges in the coming years and will require new solutions to new problems, but without discarding the lessons we've learned. I am excited to represent the AdVision(tm) and Insiight(tm) product lines which are not only designed to adapt to change quickly but also offer exceptional Return on Investment while leveraging the technology many companies have previously purchased. Bringing this message to the industry will be a great opportunity."
"This is a significant appointment for net-linx," says Bill Solimeno,
net-linx Publishing Solutions CEO and President. "Ron's technology sales
expertise and proven track record within the newspaper sector is very
impressive. He has experienced the dramatic evolution of newspaper
production technology since the 1980s and consequently has an in-depth
awareness of the industry's needs today."
