PrintImage International Offers Printing Industry Specific Job Descriptions

Chicago, IL, March 2001 PrintImage International formerly the National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP) has announced the immediate availability of job descriptions specific to the printing industry.  The job descriptions cover the key positions usually found in printing companies, and were prepared by noted printing industry personnel consultant Debra Thompson of TG & Associates.  In announcing the job descriptions, PrintImage International president and CEO Steven D. Johnson commented: Accurate job descriptions are an essential part of managing a successful printing business, and help ensure compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Acts.  Moreover, these basic documents provide the information employees need to understand their jobs, and provide a basis for employee performance assessment and compensation. The PrintImage International Basic Job Description Set includes job descriptions for bindery operator, bookkeeper, customer service representative, delivery driver, general manager, graphic designer/desktop publisher, outside sales representative, press operator, and production manager.  The PrintImage International Deluxe Job Description Set, in addition to those in the Basic Set, includes job descriptions for customer service supervisor, DocuTech operator, estimator, graphics supervisor, high speed copier operator, mailing database operator, mailing machine operator, prepress technician, and selling owner.  The job description sets are available on CD-ROM in both Mac and PC formats, with both Adobe Acrobat PDF and Microsoft Word templates included.  The PrintImage International members may purchase the Basic Job Description Set for $119, or the Deluxe Set for $189.  Nonmembers may purchase the sets for $129 and $199 respectively.
