SGP Grows with PIASC as a Resource Partner

Press release from the issuing company

Sayville, N.Y. – The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), the leading certification authority in sustainable printing, announced today that the fourth printing affiliate organization, Printing Industries Association Inc. of Southern California (PIASC), has joined the SGP community as a Resource Partner.

SGP Resource Partners are non-profits, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and educational institutions engaged in promoting, teaching or researching in the areas of graphic arts and/or sustainability. Resource Partners are subject matter experts that assure the entire print community is empowered to advance sustainability in the printing industry supply chain.

“Most of our members are concerned with our environment. SGP is more than a certification; it is a way of life. As a Resource Partner, PIASC can help our members who are looking into SGP certification,” said Lou Caron, PIASC president/CEO. “We also want to advocate this sustainable mission and promote certification to our members."

"Having organizations like PIASC become SGP Resource Partners strengthens our efforts to encourage sustainability throughout the print supply chain," said Doreen Monteleone, SGP co-founder, treasurer and Flexographic Technical Association representative. "SGP works with its Resource Partners to spread the word about the benefits of sustainable business practices and validate the efforts of printers of all print processes."
