Four Pees Joins Ghent Workgroup

Press release from the issuing company

Ghent, Belgium – The Ghent Workgroup (GWG) is pleased to announce its continued global expansion as it welcomes Four Pees as its newest member. With 15 years of experience in the graphic arts and printing industry, Four Pees helps automate prepress and printing processes. This experience as specialized software distributor and automation integrator gives Four Pees expert knowledge in a variety of market segments and puts it in an ideal position to contribute to the standardization efforts of Ghent Workgroup.

Four Pees and its management team have always had a strong association with Ghent Workgroup throughout their history, dating back to the founding of the group in 2002. Four Pees’ CTO, David van Driessche, is Executive Director of Ghent Workgroup and co-chair of the Specification subcommittee, having previously acted only as a representative of callas software. Christian Blaise, who became Four Pees’ Director of Professional Services and Support after the agileStreams acquisition, serves as Marketing Officer of Ghent Workgroup and co-chair of the Packaging subcommittee.

“While we weren’t officially a member so far, it certainly felt like it through the work done by Christian and David,” comments Tom Peire, CEO at Four Pees. “With our continued growth and more direct involvement in the market, it’s the right time to formalize our commitment by officially becoming a member. We are in a great position to communicate customer needs to the Ghent Workgroup, and we want a front seat in the creation of new standards and guidelines to, in return, help our customers implement them.”

David Zwang, Chair of Ghent Workgroup adds: “One of the strengths of the Ghent Workgroup and what we do for the market is that each decision or standard is developed with the input of the people in the sector. The experts at Four Pees come into contact with all facets of our industry on a daily basis and provide valuable input for us on what the questions and needs are. We are excited to see Four Pees joining us and look forward to the insights that they can give to further develop the new print and packaging specifications that will carry our industry through future changes, challenges and opportunities.”

Four Pees, feel the good flow.
