Ranked by Forbes as one of the world’s best employers, Cognizant is a multinational technology company that provides business consulting, information technology, and outsourcing services. When building a new office space in New Jersey that included conference rooms and offices with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and windows, Cognizant sought a unique way to incorporate company branding and employee privacy. To give the space the creative touch it needed, the Cognizant team turned to local graphic design and signage company, Mixed Media Concepts.

Specializing in wide-format printing and architectural signage, Mixed Media Concepts recommended a combination of printed and unprinted window graphics that could be applied to the glass surfaces. Cognizant originally requested the use of a Mactac competitor product, but it was unsuccessful. Nick Basile, Mixed Media’s owner, suggested IMAGin B-free Frosted Window Film (JX5796MBFv2) to create a consistent finish for both printed and unprinted graphics. The product worked great and in just one week, working through the construction, three installers put up a total of 4,000 square feet of B-free Frosted material. They installed printed and non-printed material on both first and second surfaces. The printed material was printed using an HP® Latex 360 printer.

“We transfer taped all frosted film for the project which made it go down like a dream. B-free saved time being able to install dry, cutting our installation time in half,” Basile said. “The customer was very particular about the project and was ecstatic about the quality of the material and installation.”

IMAGin B-free Frosted Window Film is a 3.1-mil translucent, matte-frosted vinyl that is coated on one side with Mactac’s proprietary Omni-directional air-egress clear permanent acrylic adhesive. It is intended for printed and unprinted window graphics, privacy screening, and internally illuminated signs. The product’s unique adhesive allows for fast, easy, no-mess dry application and ensures a smooth print surface. To install, use a soft felt sleeve or squeegee and apply light, even pressure.
