VIDAR Upgrades CopySystems Software Solutions to Version 4.0

Press release from the issuing company

February 22, 2001 (Herndon, Virginia, USA) VIDAR Systems Corporation, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wide-format scanning solutions, today announced an upgrade to its CopySystems color and black-and-white copying solutions. CopySystems solutions are hardware-software bundles used for copying large format documents up to 54 inches (1371.6mm) wide, such as full color photographs or posters, monotone or red-lined blueprints, or any other type of large document that needs to be copied. Today’s upgrade, from software version 3.2 to 4.0, gives CopySystems users important new features such as improved HPGL support, improved ICC profiling, scan to e-mail, direct scan-to-PDF, straightforward and intuitive user interface, internet upgrade capabilities, and speed and quality enhancements. CopySystems is one the most desirable scan-to-print solutions available due to its additional capabilities such as a new color calibration wizard, additional supported file formats and new hardware support. CopySystems 4.0 now includes support for VIDAR’s newest extra-wide format scanner—the Latitude, HP DesignJet 5000, HP DesignJet 800, HP DesignJet 500, XES X2, Encad 850, and UMAX powerlook III. CopySystems 4.0 has it all! It includes built in extensive user management features. You can create as many user accounts as you want, assigning each user an individual set of rights. You can even program individual permissions into an optional hardware module, called the Wizkey, which will be the passkey to the system. CopySystems is available through VIDAR’s distribution channel.
