Chicago, IL, February 2000 PrintImage International formerly the National Association of Quick Printers held its annual meeting and exhibition in Orlando, Florida on February 9-10, 2001. The premier event for North American copy shops, quick printers and small format commercial printers, the conference featured sessions dealing with both business and operational aspects of the printing business, with several hundred in attendance. The meeting concluded with a banquet at which Printer's Plan was named by the printers as Supplier of the Year. The same attendees also selected Adobe PhotoShop 6.0 as Product of the Year. The companies were presented with plaques commemorating the honor. The conference was held in conjunction with The Quick Print Show 2001, the annual exhibition staged for the benefit of small format printers. The show not only featured companies displaying their products at the four-day show, but also included hands-on classroom training in the latest printing technologies. In discussing the conference and exhibition, PrintImage International executive director Steven D. Johnson said: "The success of The Quick Print Show 2001 and the PrintImage International Annual Conference demonstrates once again the viability of the small format printer market. The technical sessions and business seminars held at the conference will enable quick printers, copy shops, and small format commercial printers to address the complex printing environment of the new millennium."
