aNIR-Enables Zero Carbon Coil Coating Operation

Press release from the issuing company

Bruckmühl – Today´s coil coating lines emit large amount of CO2 (up to 20,000 t/a per line), resulting from the installed gas fired ovens for drying and curing of chemcoatings, primers and finish coatings. adphos company own developed propriety aNIR-technology now enables the drying and curing offered standard coatings (chemcoatings, organic primers and finish coating), completely CO2 free due to its intrinsic electro-thermal working principle.

Thanks to the unique working principle of the aNIR-technology

  • instantaneous drying and curing within 2 – 4 s,
  • adjustable power depending on coating type and coating layer,
  • adjustable air ventilation flow rate depending on solvent content
  • no heat up or standby aNIR-operation required,
  • completely autotherm coil coating operation

can be ensured.

Beside the CO2-free operation, aNIR-technology results in the lowest today´s drying/curing required energy consumption for a coil coating line. In addition, the huge space savings for aNIR-driers compared to conventional hot air driers ensure also significant lower investment costs for equipment, building and infrastructure. The aNIR-drying technology can also be offered for upgrades and/or replacements of existing conventional driers.
