Press release from the issuing company

Tax governance reinforced throughout the Toppan Group worldwide.

Tokyo – Toppan Printing (Toppan), a global leader in communication, security, packaging, décor materials, and electronics solutions, has established the “Toppan Group Tax Policy” as part of measures to further reinforce governance throughout the entire Toppan Group.

Intensified efforts to strengthen tax compliance are currently being seen throughout the world. As the Toppan Group’s business expands globally, the Toppan Group Tax Policy has been formulated to consolidate and provide a clear statement of Toppan’s practices concerning tax, underpinned by a commitment to contributing to society and enhancing enterprise value by complying with the tax-related laws and regulations of each country and region.

Toppan will bolster efforts to ensure tax compliance and continue to strive for sustainable growth and increased medium-to-long-term enterprise value by strengthening corporate governance in relation to tax.

“To create truly sustainable value, it is vital that businesses active on a global scale coexist in harmony with local communities,” said Takashi Kurobe, Director & Executive Officer of Toppan’s Finance & Accounting Division. “We view the appropriate payment of taxes in every country and region in which we operate as one of the most fundamental and essential elements of contributing to society. We have therefore established the Toppan Group Tax Policy and will strive to support sustainable economic growth while further enhancing enterprise value.”
