Lexar Media Wins Digital Imaging Magazine Award

PMA, Orlando, FL, February 10, 2001 – Lexar Media, Inc. (NSDQ: LEXR), a leading designer, developer and marketer of award-winning high-performance digital film and connectivity products for the digital photography market, today announced that Digital Imaging magazine has named Lexar Media’s CompactFlash and SmartMedia digital film best of category. “This is truly a great honor,” said John Reimer, president and CEO of Lexar Media. “We see tremendous value in being able to offer a wide range of digital film formats compatible with today’s expansive selection of digital cameras. Being selected by a panel of industry experts is a significant accomplishment and Lexar will continue to serve beginner through professional photographers, offering numerous options in speed, capacity and form factors.”            Digital Imaging's first annual contest looked at the best digital imaging products of 2000, awarding recognition in 15 major and two special categories, as nominated by readers and manufacturers. Product categories included digital cameras, digital media, scanners, printers and software. Winners were selected by votes cast from a panel of five independent industry experts and writers including Michael Sheridan, editor, Digital Imaging; Helene DeLillo, digital imaging specialist and technical advisor for Digital Imaging; Don Sutherland, writer; Glenn Martin, photographer and contributing editor for Digital Imaging and Theano Nikitas, writer. Judges based their selections on research and personal experience with each product. Winners will be featured in the March issue of Digital Imaging magazine along with prominence on the Digital Imaging Web site at www.digitalimagingmag.com
