Fujifilm Announces How it Helped Grow CR Print's Wide Format Business

Press release from the issuing company

Hanover Park, Ill. – FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division, announces that its install of Acuity LED 46 and Acuity LED 1600R has helped CR Print grow its business despite the downturn many have experienced during the global pandemic. CR Print, a family owned business-to-business small commercial print shop located in Westlake Village, California, installed Fujifilm’s Acuity LED 46 and the Acuity LED 1600R LED UV printers, which has allowed the company to meet customer needs quicker than ever before by providing a faster turnaround on projects regardless of size, with a high degree of quality and reliability.

Many businesses have adapted during the pandemic and generated new opportunities to thrive. A commercial print house who brought wide format printing in-house shortly before the pandemic began, CR Print gained more control over their deliverables, and in turn earned them higher confidence from their customers. When the pandemic hit, shortly after this transition, CR Print made the pivot to producing COVID-related products including social distancing graphics and health/safety guideline banners and posters for their customers and community members.

“It’s no secret that industry has been challenged during the global pandemic,” said Ramona Serafino, associate product marketing manager, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division. “CR Print recognized these challenges firsthand and saw the need to adapt…quickly. The Acuity line allowed CR Print to seamlessly adapt to its customers’ evolving needs.”

“We are forward thinking industry leaders. Our promise to our customers is to find innovative solutions, to cultivate trust, and to create value,” said Mike Corridori, co-owner and vice president, CR Print. “In the midst of the pandemic, we recognized the opportunity to provide customers with additional print offerings; we invested in the Acuity LED 46 and the Acuity LED 1600R. With the recent installation, we have been able to provide important signage and graphics in support of COVID-19. We can now offer wide and large format media products during these unprecedented times.”

“Almost overnight, the demand for social distancing and safety banners has increased and it was important for us to go above and beyond fulfilling orders,” said Corridori. “With the Acuity LED 46 and the Acuity LED 1600R in place, we have been able to produce hundreds of banners, not only to help our customers inform their patrons of social distancing and safety measures, but to also inform their patrons if they are open for business or store hour adjustments.”

As customer deadlines continued to grow shorter and requests for personalized services expanded, finding a high-quality, efficient and reliable printer was critical for the long-term growth of CR Print.

The unique capabilities of the Acuity LED 46 and the Acuity LED 1600R have allowed CR Print to greatly expand its services and offerings. Since the installation, the company has grown its product offerings and client base and expects the momentum to continue. By partnering with Fujifilm, CR Print is able to fulfill their promise to their customers – with quicker turnaround and lower cost - while also being able to offer higher quality digitally printed products.
