First North American Installation of the Valiani Omnia

Press release from the issuing company

Sydney Stone, Canada’s Exclusive Valiani Omnia dealer is excited to announce the first North American installation at Flash Reproductions.

The Omnia has been designed to automatically feed and contour cut media. The operator can load material up to 60 cm x 80 cm in size. Omnia will feed media to the cutting arm using a suction system that lifts media from the feeder and drags it onto the conveyor. The feeder holds up to 500 sheets, depending on thickness. Once in position, the camera will detect crop marks and execute the cut file for the pre-printed graphics. The completed sheets drop into the catch tray. With a wide array of tools to handle many applications and substrates including: bevel cut 40 or 45 degree, embossing/debossing, creasing, kiss cuts, as well as style pens in 3 different sizes.

“Our decision to purchase the Valiani Omnia diecutter stemmed from the equipment’s multiple industry leading attributes. Topping our list is the near infinite flexibility of contour cuts VO is capable of executing, covering a wide range of substrates from text weight paper grades to heavy gauge corrugated board. This pairing of cutting flexibility with a highly adaptable media gamut paves the way for Flash to expand our range of signage and POP offerings. Compatibility with our existing KM1 digital press is optimal in terms of maximum sheet size (60cm x 80cm), allowing us to press the limits of this formidable combination of technologies. Lastly, VO’s Auto Load capability frees up our operator, allowing for increased productivity; a particularly handy factor as we attempt to minimize our number of operators per shift during covid.” Rich Pauptit President Flash Reproductions

The software can control multiple workflow options including cut files from various graphic design software, QR Code mode, and non-printed material. Omnia is perfect for die cutting cardstock projects including packaging, business card and kiss-cut. With its robust design, it can also process heavy material such as corrugated cardboard, chipboard, or thin plastic sheets.

“We are extremely proud to be partnering with Flash Reproduction on this exciting first of its kind installation. Flash Reproductions is renowned for innovative quality print products that push the boundaries for design, substrates, print production, and finishing. We look forward to seeing all of the exciting products that the great minds at Flash can conceive to fully utilize the Valiani Omnia.” Stephen Longmire, National Sales Manager Sydney Stone.
