GPA’s Bob Niesen Announces Plans to Step Down in March

After a successful 30-year career, Bob Niesen announced to the GPA team that he will be departing the company in the next 30 days. Bob is well known in the digital printing industry as a thought leader with a consistent presence at industry events and tradeshows, often speaking about the markets, applications and innovative products that have helped shaped the growth of digital printing.

"It has been my honour and privilege to have served as president and CEO of this great company," said Niesen. "I would like to highlight my deep appreciation for our customers who have trusted us to help them grow in the specialty markets. I would also like to thank GPA employees, who have built an outstanding brand. Together and as a clear leader in our industry, we developed high quality, innovative products, paired with trend-forward service programs and outstanding customer support”.

Bob started at GPA with humble beginnings in the mailroom, working his way through the ranks from Sample Department, and Customer Service, to Business Development Manager, Regional General Manager, SVP of Sales and Marketing, and finally to CEO. He led GPA on a steady growth path, through strategic positioning, and inventive partnerships, which earned the company a steadfast reputation of product innovators and solution facilitators.

GPA is extremely grateful to Bob for his loyalty, to the many employees, customers, and partners he’s touched and for all he has done helping define GPA as a market leader in specialty & digital substrates. GPA will benefit in years to come with his countless contributions and his fostering of our unique culture which is now a part of our deep- rooted legacy.
