Register for Intergraf Shaping the Future of Books Webinar

Press release from the issuing company

Shaping the Future of Books, a webinar by Intergraf, will take place on Thursday 11 February 2021 at 11-12:30h (CET). Join us to hear about the latest developments in the European book market from the perspectives of printing and publishing, including the effects of the pandemic and exclusive market data from Smithers.

Chapter 1: webinar

The stage is set for our FREE webinar on Europe’s book market. Register to Chapter 1 of this event for the latest insights: https://app.livestorm.co/intergraf/shaping-the-future-of-books-2021

Participants will first hear from Adam Page, Global Director Research and Reports at Smithers Information. Adam will present Smithers’ latest European book market data.

Participants will then hear from two expert panellists – a printer and a publisher – moderated by book printing specialist and former Intergraf President Håvard Grjotheim. Panellists are:

· Rupert Smith is the CEO of Halstan Printing (UK). Halstan is an international high-quality book printer and binder which specialises in producing sheet music, soft cover books, journals, educational textbooks, manuals and notebooks. Rupert will give the printer’s perspective.

· Peter Kraus vom Cleff is Managing Director and CFO of Rowohlt Verlag GmbH, a book publisher based in Hamburg (Germany). Peter is also President of the Federation of European Publishers, Intergraf's publishing counterpart in Brussels. Peter will give the publisher’s perspective.

Chapter 2: conference

The 2021 edition of our Shaping the Future of Print event is extra special because we are organising not one, but TWO events! Chapter 2 is due to take place in-person at the Frankfurt Book Fair on 21 October 2021.

This event will showcase a larger collection of speakers and topics – including a more in-depth presentation on the European book market from Smithers. Participants of Chapter 2 will also receive a copy of Smithers' exclusive European Book Market Report.

Registrations for Chapter 2 will open later in the year.
