X-Rite Appoints Graphic Arts Sales Manager for Latin America

GRANDVILLE, MI –February 2, 2001 –X-Rite, Incorporated (NASDAQ/NMS:XRIT), a leading global provider of precision measurement devices, systems and processes that measure color, light and shape, today announces that Juan DaSilva has been appointed Graphic Arts Sales Manager for Latin America. DaSilva’s appointment is one in a series of initiatives taken by the company to expand its coverage and support in Latin America. X-Rite is also appointing additional dealers and offering direct technical support in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico. DaSilva, who joined X-Rite last year and in the new position reports to Kent Chu, Director of Sales, is responsible for the sale of X-Rite’s graphic arts division product lines. DaSilva will also cultivate new partners, manage distributor relationships, and support marketing of X-Rite’s full-range of color measurement solutions. “Juan DaSilva is a results-oriented professional with 16 years of diversified experience in sales, marketing, and operations management,” Chu says. “He’s experienced in selling and marketing technology solutions and services worldwide. We are pleased to add someone of Juan’s caliber to spearhead and support our Latin American sales initiatives.”
