Mactac® Launches New Blog, ‘The Digital Download’

Press release from the issuing company

Blog content to inform readers about the ever-evolving digital printing world

Stow, Ohio – Mactac® announces the launch of a new informative blog designed to offer added perspective into the ever-evolving digital printing world.

The new blog, titled ‘The Digital Download’ (www.mactac.com/digitaldownload) will be authored by Mactac’s tenured team of Roll Label industry experts. Through the blog content, experts will provide readers with insight and information about the Roll Label industry’s digital printing segment – from digital print technologies to label materials, Mactac innovations, new product introductions, and more.

Mactac’s blog is intended to serve as a helpful go-to resource for questions and answers from those in the Roll Label business. Blog followers can submit questions to [email protected].

“Mactac has been a leader in the digital space for decades – even when digital printing wasn’t as mainstream as it is today,” says Sara Damante, Senior Marketing Manager, Mactac Performance Adhesives. “Converters both big and small continuously seek advice, recommendations, and insight from our experts, and the blog is a great way to share that knowledge on a broader scale.”

Designed for the busy converter of 2020 and beyond, The Digital Download will feature quick answers to common and not-so-common questions that Mactac’s technical managers, marketing managers, engineers, and R&D specialists receive from customers. For example, the content may showcase Mactac’s latest advancements, such as improvements and advice to ensure the material will lay-flat, or how Mactac customers can maximize time and efficiencies or save money with digital and laser converting and printing.

In the past 5 years, the digital printing market has experienced exponential growth. Statistics report that the global printing packaging market is estimated to reach revenues of more than $28 billion by 2024, a CAGR of roughly 11 percent.

Driving much of this growth is the brand owner's need for smaller personalized production runs. For many, digital printing capabilities make it easier to customize packaging that will better engage their consumers.

Furthermore, there is a continuously growing number of film and paper products available – all with varying adhesive characteristics and strengths – that can be accommodated by digital print technologies.

“While we have plenty of content to share, hearing from our customers and answering their questions so they can better serve their customers is our ultimate goal at Mactac,” Damante adds.
