Phoenix Challenge Golf Outing & Fundraiser Postponed

Press release from the issuing company

The Phoenix Challenge Foundation’s Mission to Support Workforce Development Continues

Charlotte, N.C. – With the ongoing pandemic and constrained activities across the country and around the world, the Phoenix Challenge Foundation has decided to reschedule the successful annual Golf Tournament. The event is one of the primary sources of fundraising that supports the Foundation’s mission of “Building Tomorrow’s Workforce”. The Annual Golf Tournament was scheduled for Sept. 23, 2020 in Monroe, North Carolina. The new date will be announced for 2021.

The Phoenix Challenge Foundation and its Board want to extend thanks to all those who continue to support the one-of-a-kind program. “The industry’s support is critical to building awareness and breeding young talent for pressroom and management positions throughout the flexo industry. For more than twenty years, more than 5,000 students have been exposed to the flexo industry and what it has to offer. We are extremely proud of this effort and continuing into 2021 and beyond,” stated Bettylyn Krafft, Chairman of the Foundation.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT DOESN’T STOP – SUPPORT IS KEY

With the changes made in response to everyone’s safety, the initiatives of the Phoenix Challenge Foundation continue. New educational programs are being created to provide presses for start-up flexo printing programs across North America. So far in 2020, two presses are being installed to create two NEW programs in U.S.

Converters and printers across the industry all agree that workforce development and building pressroom talent are their top concerns and priorities. These programs are designed specifically to address these concerns. As a non-profit organization, support is critical. The organization needs the industry’s financial or volunteer support to continue this work. The PCF is seeking support from both converters and suppliers alike. Industry support will continue benefit these very important initiatives. For more information, visit www. Phoenixchallenge.org or contact them directly
