Standard Register Wins Contract, Could Top $100 Million

(DAYTON, OHIO), Standard Register today announced the signing of Quest Diagnostics Incorporated (NYSE: DGX), the nation’s leading provider of diagnostic testing, information and services, to a five-year contract worth up to $100 million. The document management company will provide forms standardization, printing and document management services supporting Quest Diagnostics’ network of 40 laboratories and 1,400 walk-in Patient Service Centers nationwide. Standard Register will imprint 18 million diagnostic requisition form/label combinations annually with information received from Quest Diagnostics via Electronic Data Interchange and manufacture 100 million labels per year for bar-coded drug test requisition forms. Previously, Standard Register had served both Quest Diagnostics and the former SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories, which Quest Diagnostics acquired in August, 1999. “Standard Register helps us deliver swift and accurate customer transactions,” says Raymond Clarke, Quest Diagnostics vice president, Materials & Services Management.
