Standard Register Wins Contract, Could Top $100 Million

(DAYTON, OHIO), Standard Register today announced the signing of Quest Diagnostics Incorporated (NYSE: DGX), the nation’s leading provider of diagnostic testing, information and services, to a five-year contract worth up to $100 million. The document management company will provide forms standardization, printing and document management services supporting Quest Diagnostics’ network of 40 laboratories and 1,400 walk-in Patient Service Centers nationwide.
Standard Register will imprint 18 million diagnostic requisition form/label combinations annually with information received from Quest Diagnostics via Electronic Data Interchange and manufacture 100 million labels per year for bar-coded drug test requisition forms.
Previously, Standard Register had served both Quest Diagnostics and the former SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories, which Quest Diagnostics acquired in August, 1999.
