Epson Unveils Two New Ink Jet Printers for Mac Users

LONG BEACH, Calif.--EPSON Stylus(R) Color 83 and EPSON Stylus Color 880i Deliver Photo-Quality Images and Quick Print Speeds in Sleek New Designs Epson America Inc., creator of high-quality, award-winning imaging products, today announced two new whisper-quiet, four-color ink jet printers designed for brilliant photo-quality output with sleek, eye- catching exteriors designed to accentuate Apple's iMac and PowerMac G4 computers. The EPSON Stylus Color 83 (Eight Cubed) and Stylus Color 880i are engineered for home, education or business users who are looking for quality output at an affordable price. These printers feature up to 2880 x 720 dpi resolution and barely visible four-picoliter droplets for unsurpassed output. Using a specially designed engine, the printers quickly and quietly deliver up to 12 pages per minute (ppm) in black text and up to nine ppm for text and color graphics. Priced at $169 (following a $30 mail-in rebate), the Stylus Color 83 features a distinctive clear lid with dark-turquoise buttons and paper trays to complement the design of the Apple Power Mac G4 Cube.
