Upstate N.Y. Printing and Direct Mail Company Teams Up with Black Lives Matter Organizer for Fundraising Effort

Press release from the issuing company

The Mailworks supports fundraising effort for Black Lives Matter movement; 100 percent of proceeds to support Black-owned organizations and enterprises

Albany, N.Y. – The Mailworks has announced the launch of a fundraising effort to support and stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

Through visiting the Mailworks website (www.themailworks.com/blacklivesmatter), customers can choose one of four 8.5” x 11” vinyl decals for $10. All proceeds from the sale of these decals will support a Black-owned organizations and enterprise they can choose on the website. Customers also have an opportunity to increase their donation as well.

“The Mailworks stands proudly in solidarity with the Black community and with the Black Lives Matter movement," said Brianne Baggetta, president and CEO of The Mailworks. “It is our hope that these proceeds can help expand this incredibly important movement and to ensure that Black voices and the voices of people of color are heard loud and clear.”

This project was made possible through collaboration efforts with Jammella Anderson, an Albany-based changemaker and rising voice for black and brown communities.

“I am excited, encouraged and fired up to march forward. We are grateful because, with your contribution, we can help amplify melanated voices. From the bottom of my heart, I thank Mailworks for seeing and supporting our vision and helping it come to life. Today and everyday Black Lives Matter,” said Anderson.

"Through this meaningful collaboration with Jammella, we are able to amplify the influence she and many others have in these communities to a larger, broader audience," Baggetta noted.

Vinyl decals are repositionable and removable. Item shipped within one business day.

The first organization to be part of the fundraiser is Root3d Healing, based in Downtown Albany. According to its founder, Root3d is “here to center the liberation, healing, and power of POC in the Albany community by rooting within the three dimensions: the mind, body, and spirit.” More information can be found by visiting root3dhealing.com.
