Keypoint Intelligence - Buyers Lab (BLI), the world’s leading independent evaluator of document imaging and smart workplace business products, today announced the kickoff of its inaugural Outstanding Achievement in Innovation awards to recognize advancements in production printing hardware, software, and services. Nominations for products to be considered are being accepted now through April 10, with winners to be announced in the June timeframe to coincide with the planned drupa 2020 industry event.

“Vendors in the production printing space are continually improving their offerings to better meet the challenges customers face in their daily workflows, and these product and feature introductions reach a crescendo every four years as the industry’s largest tradeshow nears,” said Randy Dazo, President and CEO of Keypoint Intelligence. “Our goal with these awards is to cut through the clutter of simply ‘what’s new’ to honor truly innovative product advancements that move the industry forward in a meaningful way.”

To be eligible for consideration, vendors need to nominate products (or innovative features within products) by April 10. Products/features should be newly announced and/or available to the market in the drupa timeframe and planned to be shown at the event. There is no cost to enter, and each vendor can nominate as many products and/or innovations as they feel are worthy in the following categories:

Packaging
Commercial
Print/On Demand
Signage/Graphics
Industrial Printing
Workflow
Sustainability

Entries will be judged by Keypoint Intelligence’s expert production printing analysts, who among them have dozens of years’ experience testing production print products and analyzing market trends. Judging criteria will include an emphasis on how the product or feature improves image/output quality, enhances productivity, delivers efficiencies, impacts sustainability, and more.
