According to a blog post and wire reports, Ricoh says it may acquire International Business Machines Corp.'s commercial printing unit to expand in the $25 billion digital printer industry.

Masakuni Kutsuwada, a spokesman for Tokyo-based Ricoh told Bloomberg that the company is "in final talks with IBM on the acquisition of the digital printing business... We can't comment on anything further."Ricoh will buy IBM's printer operation in April for about 85 billion yen ($703 million), the Nikkei English News reported today, without saying where it got the information.
