Back in July, when I started this series, my goal was to make sure that our readers understood the dynamics of the changing media marketplace, and what they could do to ensure that they could be long term players and even influencers in this new world of blended publishing communications.

In the roughly six months since we started, we have seen the introduction of new social media channels, new mobile and tablet platforms, and an increasing desire by marketers to look for ways to understand and take advantage of all of this. Had you been following along, you probably would have noticed these announcements, and also started to put a cross media focus into the short- and long-term targets for your business.

The opportunities for companies with experience in print media production are significant. Their understanding of how to use technology regularly to work with clients to produce and distribute marketing messages is one of their greatest strengths. And while not every printing company needs to become a Marketing Services Provider (although you probably already are), minimally you need to understand how to use multi channel marketing to promote your business.
