Printable was founded more than five years ago during the bubble of irrational exuberance and is one of the last men standing from that era. A stanch proponent of online solutions only for printersand unwilling to deviate from that plan, Printable offers printers the opportunity and capability to expand their service offerings, improve customer loyalty, and increase profit margins.

Printable offers a complete, end-to-end platform for e-commerce, CRM, and workflow for printers and their clients. In addition to core technology for catalog ordering, variable data, job submission, order tracking for the printer and their clients, and data interchange, Printable serves as a service platform for extended technologies like preflighting with Extensis and online proofing with RealTimeImage.

While Printable has been “keeping on keeping on,” they’ve been quiet about it. WhatTheyThink correspondent, Gail Nickel-Kailing, spoke to Coleman about recent activities and long term plans.
