Happy Summer everyone. Like our last report, we are seeing several companies coming back for additional inkjet presses, as well as some first time investors, and some OEM “first ever“ installs as well. Let’s look at the OEM firsts:

• EFI delivered the first installation in the world of a 55-inch wide, ultra-high-speed 14000 model of their Nozomi corrugated digital press to Caps Cases in Newmarket, England.
• Ricoh delivered Spain’s first Pro VC 70000 to Tórculo in Santiago
• HP announced the first installation of their PageWide T260 mono press to Maple Press of York, PA (actually installed in 2021).

Overall, there are 12 companies in the June report with 13 inkjet presses. Of those presses, five are in the EU, three are in the US, and two each are in Australia and England. Only one company, Precision Group, purchased more than one press, but many were adding to their inkjet fleet:

• Precision Group of Salem Oregon actually bought their first Kyocera TASKalfa in 2020 and followed up with the purchase of two more in 2022.
• Delta Group  previously acquired the Nozomi C18000 corrugated board printer and is the first in Europe to order the Nozomi 18000+ LED single-pass printer for display graphics.  It is scheduled for installation next quarter.
• Die Pharmadrucker in Germany is installing their second Screen 520HD since 2020 (this time mono).

Overall, we have four Screen and two each of EFI, Kyocera, and Ricoh presses. Also one each for Bobst, HP and Konica Minolta. Seven of the presses were roll fed (four 2-up and 3 roll pack) and four were sheet fed. We hit all the sheet formats this month from B1 to B3.

From an application perspective, we had quite the mix with books and labels taking the lead (3 presses each). The rest were individual press installs for corrugated packaging, direct mail, magazine and catalog publishing, sign and display, an in-plant operation and specialty pharmaceutical printing. Inkjet sure does get around these days.
