Sundance Marketing Solutions charts next growth path driven by Tharstern MIS

Press release from the issuing company

Atlanta, Georgia, USA  A fully integrated management information system (MIS) from Tharstern is going live next month and will be a key future business growth driver at Sundance Marketing Solutions, one of the USA’s fastest-growing commercial print and marketing firms.

The deal with Sundance Marketing Solutions will be highlighted as part of Tharstern’s presence at a series of shows and discussion forums this autumn. First up is Booth 6654 at Labelexpo Americas in Rosemont, Illinois, from 13-15 September, then Booth 601 North at Graph Expo, Orlando, Florida, from 25-28 September. Tharstern is also part of the Canon thINK group of digital print production professionals.

View on Floor Plan:

Sundance Marketing Solutions, which is heading towards its 10th anniversary enjoying 18 per cent year-on-year compound growth since inception, says the MIS is vital to streamlining quoting, estimating, printing and post-production processes through to delivery. It chose Tharstern as its MIS provider after an exhaustive, three-year search.

With print lengths continuing to fall, the Tharstern MIS – complete with powerful estimating tools and purpose-build CRM – will reduce costs to a fraction of the $350 average administration fees per order that have been incurred until now.

JohnHenry Ruggieri, Managing Director of Central Florida-based Sundance Marketing Solutions, said: “The Tharstern MIS is the single biggest monetary investment we have made taking into account the man hours. But it’s all worth it – this is the future for our company and is crucial to our planned business growth. We haven’t just put our toe into the water, we’ve gone for an all-encompassing system that will revolutionize the way we do business.”

Central will be the ability to bring down the turnaround times for jobs – currently around 48 hours – to a cycle of around four hours from online ordering to dispatching the jobs to customers. “The opportunities are limitless,” said Mr Ruggieri. “Tharstern is big enough to deliver to our exacting requirements, it’s also of a size where staff really get to know you personally.”

Brad Taylor, one of the partners for Sundance Marketing Solutions, said: “We have been growing aggressively and needed to streamline and automate our processes. JDF and other systems will all be driven by the Tharstern MIS. It will give us the opportunity to exceed expectations with customers through cost reductions and improved efficiencies.”

Bob Moore, Chief Operating Officer for Tharstern USA, said: “Sundance Marketing Solutions is a great example of a company recognizing the wide-ranging benefits of implementing the Tharstern MIS and how our partnership approach is designed to help businesses grow. Tharstern has a unique approach within the North American MIS market with its staff of knowledgeable industry professionals, which is seeing us gain traction in the market place.”

Tharstern Global Sales Director Lee Ward said: “Our North American division launched a year ago is performing just as we had hoped. Launching this first installation in the USA is proof of that - we’re delighted.”

Tharstern, which launched into the US in the autumn of 2015, has been a pioneer in the strategy of workflow integration with its MIS. It has established tight integration with other market-leaders, for example Heidelberg and HP – both using Tharstern as a preferred partner for MIS – as well as Manroland, Komori, Xerox, Esko, Enfocus Switch, Kodak, Agfa and Fuji.

Tharstern provides MIS to the print, packaging and label industries. It has a client base of more than 700 users across the globe. It has 7,000 users of its MIS and workflow solutions, with a 96% customer retention rate.
