At Print 13, Muller Martini will be showcasing their new engineering concept which enables customers to not only manage change, but to compete and thrive within a print landscape that continues to evolve.

To visually illustrate this concept, part of Muller’s product display in Booth #831 at Print 13 will be the base-only of the popular Alegro perfect binder. The base represents Muller’s new engineering platform since it provides the foundation for a wide range of add-on components or workstations. Each component is servo-driven and individually controlled, so there is no need for line shafts and chain drives. This not only means less wear and tear, lower maintenance and fewer spare parts, but ease of expandability because equipment can be reconfigured without having to dismantle the entire machine.

Muller’s component- and module-driven bindery and press solutions can manage dual production output and multiple product formats, and offer sound investment choices since components can be added as opportunities arise and bottom lines allow. For many, this means a comfortable migration from offset print manufacturing to the inclusion of digital and hybrid products.

During Print 13, Muller Martini will feature on-going demonstrations of two machines that underscore their investment protection promise. The Presto II Digital Saddle Stitching System—a Must See ‘Em Award Winner—can be configured as a standard stitcher to replace an older asset, with new components added to make it digital-ready. The Solit Three Knife Trimmer, designed to perform in both digital and medium-run offset production environments, will also be running live.

Print 13 takes place September 8-12, 2013 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. Muller Martini’s theme at this year’s show is “Investment Protection. Make Ready for Change.” Muller’s engineers and product specialists will be on hand in Booth #831 to demonstrate manufacturing technology that’s been designed to grow as business grows, through components that add capabilities to accommodate dual production output.
