GFX International becomes 27th SGP certified facility

Seattle, WA - Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), an independent, non-profit organization for sustainability certification in the graphic communications industry, today announces that GFX International Inc. of Grayslake, IL, has successfully completed the necessary requirements to become the 27th SGP Certified Facility. GFX has more than 20 years of field experience producing graphics and in-store displays for brands and retailers worldwide. Through the years, the company has been increasing efforts in becoming more sustainable as its client base and prospective clients were showing greater interest in sustainable printing options. GFX values the credibility that SGP certification provides and uses it to both validate its achievements toward sustainability and to strive for continuous improvement.

As we have grown in our awareness and knowledge of sustainability, the need to increase our efforts in this area has also grown," states Mark Taylor, COO and Vice President of GFX. The SGP Partnership is a non-profit organization that promotes reducing the environmental impact and increasing the social responsibility of the print and graphic communication industry through sustainable green printing practices. SGP Certified Facilities have demonstrated adherence to required sustainability activities, such as the use of packaging materials to minimize waste, estimating ink, coating and adhesive consumption, and energy/water conservation.
