What's New in Oxygen Content Fusion Enterprise 9.1
* Streamlined Collaboration with @mentions
Communication within the review process is now more direct as users can bring specific teammates into a conversation exactly where they are needed by using @mentions. Mentioned collaborators receive instant email notifications containing a direct link to the specific comment, eliminating the need to hunt through documents for context and ensuring critical updates are never missed.
* Centralized Review Task Dashboard
Navigating complex review cycles is easier than ever with the new Review Task Dashboard. This centralized hub provides an at-a-glance view of task progress. Authors and reviewers can track detailed task descriptions, consolidated metadata, due dates, and real-time reviewer status to see exactly who has finalized their review and who is still working on it.
* Enhanced AI-Assisted Authoring
Through the enhanced Oxygen AI Positron plugin, the new Planner AI Agent can tackle complex, project-wide operations, such as translating all files in a folder or updating short descriptions across all topics. The Planner proposes a multi-step plan and, upon approval, delegates the work to specialized AI agents. The AI interactions also benefit from smarter context awareness, preserving the structure of attached Word and PDF documents and supporting image-based (vision) prompts.
* Better Onboarding and Project Management
To help teams get up and running quickly, a new project carousel offers a variety of starter templates, ranging from a DITA Software Documentation starter to specialized API and hardware documentation demos. The release also brings refined user interfaces, granular access control for projects, and rich email notifications containing full review comments.
* Advanced Visual Editor
Powered by the latest Oxygen XML Web Author, the updated visual editor brings significant quality-of-life improvements. Navigating large DITA tables is now effortless thanks to new "sticky" headers that remain visible while scrolling. Furthermore, teams can easily distinguish profiled content directly in the editor using DITAVAL flagging.
* Built-in S1000D Support
For the aerospace and defense sectors, version 9.1 introduces built-in support for S1000D® issue 4.x. Users can now benefit from schema-guided editing, specialized visual authoring styles, and Smart Paste capabilities that preserve structure and formatting when pasting from web browsers or Word documents.
