Report examines what is driving web-to-print interest, how digitally ready print businesses actually are, and why integration preferences shape buying decisions.
DesignNBuy, a provider of web-to-print software solutions, has released its 2026 Web-to-Print Industry Report, a free resource built from real decision-making signals gathered through conversations with more than 3,800 print businesses. The report is available at no cost and requires no registration. It can be accessed at designnbuy.com/reports/web-to-print-industry-report-2026.
The report covers a mix of offline, hybrid, and fully online print operations, with small to mid-sized businesses making up the largest share of respondents. It is designed to answer the questions print business owners are actively working through as they consider digital tools and web-to-print adoption.
"Print businesses are interested in web-to-print, but not all for the same reasons," said a spokesperson at DesignNBuy. "We wanted to move beyond general industry assumptions and give business owners data that reflects how their peers are actually thinking and making decisions. That is what this report is built to do."
Among the key findings, growth rather than cost reduction is the primary motivation driving interest in web-to-print. The report also finds that most print businesses are still early or mid-stage in their digital journey, and that integration with an existing website is strongly preferred over full system replacement. Decision timelines, the report notes, reflect careful and deliberate thinking rather than a lack of interest.
The report is organized around six areas: what is driving interest in web-to-print, how digitally ready businesses currently are, internal operations and automation, integration preferences, decision timelines, and what the collective data reveals about the gap between growth ambition and digital execution.
