Syncro Soft, the developer of the Oxygen XML suite of products, is proud to announce the immediate availability of Oxygen Content Fusion 9.0, the web-based collaboration platform for content creation.
Version 9.0 further strengthens end-to-end DITA collaboration by introducing multi-branch publishing pipelines, more flexible review workflows, and enhanced AI-assisted authoring through Oxygen AI Positron for Content Fusion. This release is designed for technical communication teams who manage complex, versioned documentation projects. It helps streamline review processes and enables the leveraging of AI to accelerate content creation and maintenance.
What's New in Oxygen Content Fusion 9.0
* Enhanced Project Workflows for Versioned DITA Content
The Projects view in Oxygen Content Fusion continues to evolve into a central hub for managing DITA content with Git-based version control, authoring, review, and publishing. A new “Include all project files as context” option gives authors control over what reviewers see when creating a review task from the project workspace, as well as helping to avoid missing images or broken links.
* Multi-Branch Publishing Pipelines
Oxygen Content Fusion 9.0 introduces multi-branch publishing pipelines, allowing users to load and run deliverables from any branch defined in the project. This is especially valuable for organizations that maintain parallel product versions, regional variants, or long-lived maintenance branches.
* Easily Create New Review Tasks from the Publications Tree
This newly introduced feature makes it easy for authors to select topics from a publication structure and create review tasks that include relevant context.
* More Flexible Review Task Management
Review tasks created outside of a project workflow (for example, ad-hoc document reviews) and previously marked as Integrated can now be reopened and re-entered into the review process. This allows for iterative review cycles and late-stage changes without the need to recreate tasks.
* Enhanced Visual Editing Experience
The integrated visual editor in Oxygen Content Fusion has been updated to include the latest capabilities from Oxygen XML Web Author 28.0, delivering a more intuitive and precise editing experience:
- Enhanced table handling lets you easily resize column widths by dragging separators and use the Toggle Full Width button to conveniently view and edit large DITA tables.
- Add comments directly from a floating toolbar when content is selected, helping users provide pinpoint feedback.
- Show whitespace marks to make formatting-sensitive content easier to manage.
- When expanding all topics in a DITA map, referenced Markdown content is rendered as it will appear upon publication.
- A new Copy as Markdown command preserves formatting, making it easier to paste well-formatted content into other applications, including AI prompts.
- An improved Find/Replace side view adds filtering to show matches only in attribute values, only in content, or both.
* Oxygen AI Positron for Content Fusion: More Powerful and Project-Aware
Oxygen Content Fusion 9.0 integrates the latest capabilities from Oxygen AI Positron for Content Fusion, an AI add-on available at no extra cost with the Content Fusion license that can be enabled on demand. New features include:
- An expanded set of AI models so organizations can align AI behavior with their quality and cost requirements.
- Various UI and accuracy improvements.
