Syncro Soft, the developer of the Oxygen XML suite of products, is proud
to announce the release of Oxygen Content Fusion 8.0, the web-based
collaboration platform for content creation!

Version 8.0 turns Oxygen Content Fusion into a powerful AI-driven tool
designed to boost writer productivity by integrating with the Oxygen AI
Positron Assistant. This version also consolidates the Oxygen Content
Fusion position as a Content Management System for DITA content stored
in a Git repository by adding the ability to access all Git branches.??

Oxygen AI Positron Assistant is available for users with the Content
Fusion Author role and offers a suite of AI-powered features to enhance
content creation and editing. Once the plugin is installed, the AI
Positron Assistant side-pane becomes accessible in the Personal
Workspace, providing a range of powerful AI-driven actions and features.
Some of the key features include:

  * The AI Positron Assistant makes changes to the files inside a
workspace based on users' instructions. These changes can be inspected
using a side-by-side, before-and-after visual comparison view. To ensure
that the users are always in control, any changes may be rolled back.

  * AI-powered content generation actions can be used to expand a DITA
topic by refining its content, adding markup, and generating
documentation based on referenced images using Vision support, to
generate content based on uploaded images, produce alternate text for
images in DITA, or to generate MathML formulas based on users' description.

  * Content improvement actions are available to proofread documents,
validate documents and suggest fixes for identified issues, add semantic
inline DITA markup to plain text content, modify content based on
suggestions found in the comments (which are then resolved), or split
large DITA topics into multiple smaller topics while also referencing
the new topics in the DITA map.

  * Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) support allows the AI Positron
to find similar content from the personal workspace when generating new
content.

  * Integrators or other advanced users can create and configure custom
actions, similar to the built-in actions, allowing the ability to
provide the prompt for the AI engine, control engine parameters,
available function callback tools, and so on.

The newest version of Oxygen Content Fusion also introduces important
updates to the Content Fusion Project functionality. A project mirrors a
Git repository and via a Personal Workspace enables users to make
changes across multiple files. Once the users are happy with the
results, these changes can be committed directly to the repository to be
shared with the rest of the team.

Now, when working with projects, authors can access all Git branches and
get a Personal Workspace dedicated to each branch, making it possible to
commit changes on a particular branch (version) without affecting the
user's changes made in their other workspaces. Branches can also be
merged using a built-in visual comparison tool that simplifies the
process. Review tasks can now be created from branches other than the
default one, and a new filter was added in the task list page to show
review tasks specific to the current branch, making it easier to locate
and manage relevant tasks.

Additionally, administrators now have the possibility of configuring
authentication settings to enable support for OpenID Connect (OIDC)
single sign-on for compatibility with solutions such as Microsoft Entra
ID and Okta. For email and password-based signups, admins can now
restrict sign-ups to specific email addresses or patterns. Additional
security hardening controls were also implemented to keep users' data safe.
