Automated PDF Conductor Streamlines File Onboarding with Intelligent Preflight Analysis
Shickshinny, PA, USA – Good2Go Software proudly announces the launch of PDF Conductor, an advanced solution for intelligent PDF file onboarding. Made for print service providers of any size, PDF Conductor automates the sorting and routing of incoming PDFs based on their preflight results, dramatically reducing manual touchpoints in the production process.
When critical issues are detected during preflight checks, PDF Conductor flags the file and alerts the appropriate team members with links to a detailed preflight summary. If the PDF passes all preflight checks, it is automatically sent back to the print buyer for final review and approval, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow.

“Reducing employee touchpoints is crucial for printers today,” said Michael Reiher, President and Co-Founder of Good2Go Software. “With staffing tight and print jobs increasing in volume but decreasing in run length, automation is key for printers of all sizes. Our goal with PDF Conductor is to provide an affordable automation solution that accelerates file processing and minimizes manual intervention.”
PDF Conductor is available as an additional service to Good2Go Plus subscribers, focusing on streamlining Customer Service Representative (CSR) and prepress workflows. In many print operations, CSRs and prepress staff spend considerable time reviewing files and exchanging communications to identify potential issues. PDF Conductor leverages automated preflight checks to assess essential quality metrics, including image resolution, font embedding, and more, drastically reducing the need for manual file inspection.
Built on Good2Go’s open and robust work management capabilities for print and Zapier’s affordable automation platform, PDF Conductor is offered as a turnkey solution complete with professional services. Recognizing that many printers may not have the expertise or time to develop complex workflows, Good2Go provides a comprehensive package to get clients up and running quickly, with customized workflows tailored to their specific production needs.
PDF Conductor can be deployed as a simple order submission portal, automating the processing of files submitted by print buyers. Alternatively, it can be used internally, allowing operators to perform a quick specification review before submitting the file into the PDF Conductor workflow. The system’s preflight checks cover a range of critical factors, including trim size, page count, bleed settings, image resolution, font embedding, color/ink usage, overprint settings, and more. Workflows can be customized to trigger specific responses or actions based on the printer’s requirements, whether for digital or offset printing.
Getting Started with PDF Conductor:
Printers interested in deploying PDF Conductor are encouraged to schedule a one-hour discovery meeting with Good2Go to discuss their specific needs. Following the meeting, Good2Go will provide a detailed statement of work outlining the final service specifications. Upon approval, printers will be guided through the setup process, which includes signing up for free trial accounts for Good2Go Plus and Zapier Professional. Good2Go’s team will then configure PDF Conductor based on the agreed specifications and provide training to ensure a smooth launch.
Pricing:
The base price for PDF Conductor requires a Good2Go Plus subscription and a Zapier Professionalaccount. Professional services for setup, customization, and training are offered at a flat rate of $900.00. However, customers who purchase the PDF Conductor package by September 31, 2024, will receive a 50% discount on the professional services package ($450.00).
“We’re committed to making automation accessible and affordable for all printers,” added Mr. Reiher. “Many printers hesitate to adopt automation due to concerns about complexity, cost, and the ongoing commitment required to maintain the system. With Good2Go and PDF Conductor, we’ve addressed these challenges, making workflow automation achievable for printers of every size.”
