Overwhelming Response and Impressive Sales Success: EyeC's Resounding Triumph at drupa 2024

Press release from the issuing company

Hamburg, Germany, June 13, 2024. EyeC GmbH, a global provider of automated artwork verification and print image inspection systems, draws a positive conclusion after the conclusion of drupa, the world's leading trade fair for printing technologies. The Hamburg-based company impressed international trade visitors with its innovative solutions and latest developments over eleven successful trade fair days. The focus was on the new EyeC ProofRunner options for AI-based defect classification and the new EyeC Proofiler 1200 DT.

On a total exhibition area of around 100 m², EyeC presented the diversity of its unique product and service portfolio for automated quality control throughout the entire design and printing process from May 28 to June 7, 2024. The presentation of the EyeC ProofRunner Web was a crowd-puller. Installed on the “Bobcat S” rewinder from French machine supplier DCM, the modern inline inspection system guarantees super-fast and precise 100% print inspection for labels and flexible packaging with web widths of up to 1,700 mm. Brand new options for the entire EyeC ProofRunner line were presented for the first time, impressively demonstrating the power of AI -based defect classification. Thanks to precise defect classification based on the image content, relevant defects can be identified more clearly and brought to the operator's attention.

Another trade fair highlight was the new EyeC Proofiler 1200 DT presentation. In addition to technical improvements for optimized speed, handling, and ease of maintenance, the scanner-based inspection solution with its fresh design sets new standards in the quality control of large-format print samples. Live demonstrations of the EyeC ProofRunner Carton HighLight inline inspection system were also presented on a folding carton gluing machine from partner Kohmann as well as demos of the EyeC Proofiler Graphic artwork proofreading software, which enables the automatic comparison of print-ready files or step-and-repeat files with approved artwork.

"Even after an eight-year break, drupa once again impressed with an innovation show that offered us a unique platform for personal exchange with the international trade audience from the print and packaging industry. The overwhelming interest in our innovative solutions - also in terms of sustainability - and the promising contract conclusions have exceeded our expectations. This successful conclusion to the trade fair not only confirms our leading position in the field of print image inspection, but also emphasizes the great importance of quality control in the print and packaging industry,” says Markus Fietkau, Sales Director at EyeC, summarizing the successful trade fair participation.

EyeC also presented further solutions at the VDMA “Touchpoint Sustainability” stand that reflect the company's future-oriented, sustainable and pioneering approach to resource-saving production of print products.
