Open platform and numerous collaborations highlight Esko commitment to integrated technology
At this month’s drupa, Esko will underline the power of collaboration to accelerate the go-to-market process for brands and their packaging supply chains. Visitors to booth #A12 in Hall 8B will not only experience the power of the combined expertise and technology of Esko, X-Rite, Pantone, and Enfocus, but also discover its latest major evolution in software architecture, the Esko S2 platform, an ecosystem designed to facilitate and enable partner integration.
“In today’s world, where time to market pressure is felt as the biggest business challenge for the packaging value chain and its stakeholders, the ability to seamlessly integrate with all kinds of data aggregators in the workflow is of key importance,” said Jan De Roeck, Esko Director of Marketing, Industry Relations & Strategy. “Not having access to data when and where you need it is a waste driver in general - creating bottlenecks, introducing manual intervention and consequently increasing the risk of error.
“As a developer of solutions that connect people and automate processes to accelerate the go-to-market of packaged goods, we believe it is vital that an Esko solution is not a closed platform, but on the contrary actively encourages partner integration,” he said. “Our presence alongside so many of those partners throughout the forthcoming drupa event is a testament to how we are delivering on this commitment.”
The Esko booth at drupa will play host to a number of partner integration demonstrations, including MIS software integration with CERM and LabelTraxx; web front end integration with Infigo and Packitoo HIPE; and flexo plate management with The Grey Elephant. The Esko booth will also feature a Rhyguan rewinder as part of a demonstration of Esko’s AVT inspection solutions.
“This spirit of partnership is further reflected in our collaborations across the drupa exhibition halls, where Esko solutions will also be part of a number of other events and demonstrations hosted by our partners,” said Jan. “For example, we’re excited to be part of a project on the HP booth, which will demonstrate how by connecting Automation Engine and WebCenter with HP PrintOS we enable customization and personalization at scale.”
Other partner booths on which Esko is showing how its solutions easily integrate with other platforms include Asahi Kasei, Barberan, Bobst, DuPont, ePS, Fiery, GIS, GlobalVision, HP, Heidelberg, HighCon, Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems, Landa, and Windmoeller & Hoelscher.
“Our integration and collaborations also extend beyond appearances on other booths throughout the show floor,” explained Jan. “We are also grateful to all the partners that helped us develop the print samples that we’ll use to demonstrate Esko screening, Equinox color management and flexo platemaking innovations, namely Comexi, Gallus, Koenig & Bauer, Soma and Uteco.
“We’re excited to demonstrate at drupa how we’re providing APIs for seamless interaction,” added Jan. “We're actively pursuing partnerships to expand our solutions’ capabilities through integration with partners. While it will be inherently easier to collaborate with all Esko products due to their seamless integration, we are giving customers the flexibility to incorporate other products with our platform to suit their own setups and preferences,” he said.
