Amazing Print Tech Shares 5 Tips for a Painless Web-to-Print Software Implementation

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto – Amazing Print Tech, a leading provider of print products, services, and technologies, shares their tips for a smooth implementation of Web-to-Print software to help printers get up and running quickly.

While web-to-print software is important, the seamless and quick implementation of it is becoming crucial as printers seek financial recovery solutions in the wake of COVID. Customer self-servesolutions like W2P are a key way to keep the revenue streams flowing - and with revenue already lost, implementing that solution needs to be prompt.

"When you optimize your web-to-print, the rest of your business is going to increase," says Joe Montalbano - Co-CEO - Advertek Printing. "I don't mean 30% or 40%. I mean 1,000% or more!"

Here are Amazing Print Tech's five tips for a painless W2P implementation:

Plan for training. Your team will not magically know how to use the new software, regardless of how "easy-to-use" or "user-friendly" it is. They need to be trained, so planning for this and allocating resources for it is important. Choosing a web-to-print software vendor that includes training quickly gets your team accustomed to their software and more efficient ways to spend their time.

Integrate with other software. For W2P to benefit your business, it needs to be integrated with your MIS or ERP and production workflow. Passing information between these systems automatically optimizes your workflow and reduces the chances of the costly errors from manual processes and date entry/re-entry. Many W2P solutions do not provide integration, leaving smaller print shops without the resources or technical know-how, to integrate W2P with other software by themselves. Choose a provider who has a track record of integration with your workflow and processes.

Set reasonable goals. Implementing W2P is a process. Set and commit to goals that align to your business model as well as your workload and commit to them. This ensures that your W2P implementation is not viewed as something that is installed and done with, squandering both your investment and your opportunity to drive revenue. This leads to the next point.

Collect data. It is important to collect data and run reports to monitor the health of your workflow and your web-to-print offering. Data collected will help pinpoint purchase trends, profitability, type of buyer, and customer satisfaction. Work with a vendor who can help you set up reports, spot inconsistencies, and help when it's time to grow or add more options.

Market. Prospects and clients will not miraculously know about your new Web-to-print software. After all, the internet is a busy place. Marketing your W2P storefront lets prospects and customers know that it exists, and why it is helpful to them. Customer self-serve provides your clients with control over their buying process, something that more and more buyers prefer these days. Use this to your advantage when marketing your W2P storefront - let clients know they're in control of their purchasing process. As well, look for a W2P software vendor that offers training to help you market your new self-serve options for a rapid ROI.

"Web-to-Print is invaluable in today's COVID world," said Slava Apel, CEO of Amazing Print Tech. "Quickly implementing self-serve solutions for customers is a way to keep business as usual. We're sharing these tips to show how we're helping clients all around the globe recover financially from the pandemic."
