Great Value, Small Footprint, Big Opportunity Led FSSI to Choose Xerox Inkjet

Press release from the issuing company

Santa Ana, Calif.-based Financial Statement Services, Inc. (FSSI), a leading provider of customizable print-and-mail services, has acquired a Xerox Impika® Compact 24-24 Inkjet Press. The new press will help FSSI pursue growth opportunities for transactional-promotional and direct mail solutions, while helping its customers reduce print turnaround times and apply variable data to improve the relevance of their customer communications.

“We’re looking to leverage our data management expertise and the Xerox Impika Compact to develop new mail applications and expand our reach into new vertical markets,” said Henry Perez, chief operating officer, FSSI. “The Impika Compact has everything we wanted: a small footprint, low acquisition and running costs, and a leadership color gamut—backed by an organization with expertise in both transactional documents and direct mail.”

The FSSI team also sought an inkjet press that could run most of the firm’s current applications, Perez said. These include direct mail, marketing communications, electronic presentment and bill payment, and a range of print-and-mail solutions, in the banking, finance, insurance, healthcare and utilities industries.

FSSI has been a Xerox customer for more than 30 years and currently has a Xerox iGen4TM Press, multiple Xerox DocuPrint®180 Laser Printing Systems, a Xerox 495 Continuous Feed Printerand the XMPie® Enterprise Cross Media and uStore® solutions, in addition to the Impika Compact. The acquisition permits FSSI to move its Xerox 495 to its Coppell, Texas facility as part of its disaster recovery strategy.

The Xerox Impika Compact 24-24 is a high-performance inkjet press with a small, 11.5’ x 8.8’ footprint. The press accommodates two-up, duplex printing at speeds as fast as 416 feet per minute (127 meters per minute) and at resolutions ranging to 1200 x 600 dots per inch. High density inks help deliver a benchmark color gamut on inexpensive papers.
