LexJet now carries Mutoh's ValueJet printers

Press release from the issuing company

August 28, 2008–Sarasota, Fla. LexJet announces that it is now an authorized re-seller of Mutoh’s popular ValueJet line of low-solvent printers. The addition of the ValueJet line to LexJet’s product offerings effectively rounds out its printer portfolio as LexJet also offers a range of UV-curable and aqueous-based printer and media solutions to its customers.

“Over the past few years we’ve developed a solvent media line that has no equal in its quality and depth for various outdoor and indoor applications,” says Dione Metnick, LexJet’s product manager. “With the addition of Mutoh’s ValueJet printers, we now have the capability to offer each piece in the solvent printing process, from RIPs and media to hardware, individually or as a bundled system.”

LexJet’s solvent media line includes specialty films, backlit films, reverse-print polycarbonate, fine art papers, décor media, photo papers, adhesive-back vinyl, banner materials, wallcoverings, canvas, and fabric.

LexJet also carries FLEXcon’s line of advertising graphic systems for train and bus wraps, wall, building, and billboard advertising, floor, sidewalk, and carpet advertising, and backlit advertising, as well as a full range of solvent solutions from 3M and Oracal.

Mutoh’s ValueJet line includes the 54-in. Mutoh ValueJet 1304 and the 64-in. Mutoh ValueJet 1614. Both printers feature Mutoh’s patented Intelligent Interweaving Printing Technique (i2) that reduces banding and increases print speeds in bi-directional printing. The technology lays down the ink in an optimized wave form, rather than the straight lines used in other printers.

The ValueJet also offers improved paper feed accuracy, a take-up system, ink changes on-the-fly, and three individually controlled heaters for faster drying producing brilliant images using Mutoh’s Eco-Ultra inks. ValueJet prints using Eco-Ultra inks produce images that will last up to three years outdoors.

The ValueJet 1304 prints at speeds up to 145 square feet per hour, and the ValueJet 1614 at speeds up to 183 square feet per hour. Both offer resolutions of 540, 720, and 1440 dpi.

LexJet began selling and supporting Mutoh’s ValueJet printers in August. The printers are available with a range of finance options through LexJet’s highly-trained and knowledgeable staff of personally-assigned account specialists, and at LexJet’s website, www.lexjet.com.
