And how does this new product relate to a PDF/VT-1 file that is properly created in the first place in which PDF forms xobjects are cached by one of very many PDF/VT-1 compliant DFEs?

Does this new product convert “ordinary” PDF to something similar to PDF/VT-1 (which a number of products produce) or is it something (yet again) proprietary “secret sauce” technology?

By Andrew Bailes-Collins on Mar 31, 2023

Hi Dov, I thought it would be you! :-)

It depends on the configuration. I did some tests with your CalPoly files to be sure of my facts, and PDF/VT can be retained and passed through with minor optimizations if required.

No secret sauce, it's all standard PDF specification. As a vendor our output can end up on any number of printing devices for any number of verticals and production techniques, so it's important to us that we are open and embrace standards.

ABC,

That's great (and expected) news! ??

I did listen Dov.
