INX International to Focus on Strengths and Success of Corrugated Ink Solutions at TAPPI CorrExpo

Press release from the issuing company

Schaumburg, Ill. – Rising to the ever-present challenges that are a hallmark of the paper packaging marketplace, INX International Ink Co. (booth 719) will feature a wide assortment of new and proven inks and coatings solutions at TAPPI CorrExpo, October 14-16 at the Denver Convention Center.

“The corrugated market is constantly changing so we strive to design product offerings that will keep our customers ahead of their competition. For example, the digital side is continuing to expand so we will show our newest advanced ink technology for scanning head and single-pass industrial printing,” explained Jim Wegemer, INX Director of National Accounts.

“With increasing demands for food packaging, we will be promoting the benefits of our natural-based INXhrc® inks. Since these inks have a 20 to 30 percent lower CO2 footprint than standard aqueous inks, brand owners are able to their reduce regulatory risk and printers and converters are experiencing improved production efficiencies.”

The single-pass advanced ink technology for industrial printing Wegemer was referring to is the INX BSR-06 CMYK and OV extended Gamut inks, plus UVIJ water-based primer. Made in the U.S., these high performance digital inks meet G7 requirements and are Nestle Swiss Ordinance system available. In addition to excellent print quality, printers can expect sharp and vibrant images and superior flexibility on corrugated substrates.

From a safety and sustainable viewpoint, INXhrc natural-based water, solvent and conventional offset inks have already replaced over three million pounds of petro-based chemicals, waxes, and additives, and have reduced CO2 emissions by 5.6 million pounds. Since the inks have no allergens, nanomaterials, flurochemicals, fanal pigments, heavy metals, latex or PTFE, printers are experiencing improved ink mileage and production efficiency, plus less resource consumption and waste generation. When combined with high strength color concentrates, INXhrc offers the strongest finished inks available with excellent resolubility and transfer properties.

INX’s high performance Corrugated inks include 23 Series Water Dispersions, water-based Flexographic and Gravure Surface print inks, and INXKote® Water and ProCure™ UV Coatings.

The full series provides exceptional quality and high-end value for corrugated block, solid and screen printing, with excellent coverage and press performance for true color strength on bleached, mottled, high holdout/coated and kraft substrates. With INXKote and ProCure, there are coating solutions available for every paper packaging situation including Low Migration products for food applications. The product line ranges from aqueous and energy curable inks to specialty coatings and over-print varnishes.

INX experts will be available in booth 719 to discuss these products, in addition to Color Management and Technical Service capabilities. If you are not attending TAPPI CorrExpo, visit www.inxinternational.com for more information.
