EFI and Telcordia to Provide Next Generation Mobile Services Solution

Combined Expertise Provides Flexible Platform to Launch Value Added Services FOSTER CITY, Calif.--Aug. 15, 2002--Electronics For Imaging and Telcordia Technologies Inc. announced today an agreement to provide a next generation, out-of-the-box, prepaid wireless services solution for mobile operators. This new solution is targeted at helping operators increase Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) and reduce the cost of providing value added messaging services. Virgin Mobile USA is the first wireless carrier to implement this new solution. The EFI and Telcordia end-to-end package offers carriers a flexible, secure and reliable solution that delivers Web content, two way text messaging, downloadable custom ring tones, up to the minute account balances and is compatible with protocols such as Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and Global Services Mobile (GSM). In addition, this solution offers easy premium billing, reverse charging, smart packaging, and makes other applications available such as business messaging, trivia, voting, mobile interactive gaming, and anti-spam filters.
