Lanier Launches 2138E Digital Color Printer

Press release from the issuing company

ATLANTA--July 8, 2002-- Lanier Worldwide, Inc. today introduced the Lanier 2138E Digital Color Printer, a high-speed network system that delivers business-class color and monochrome laser printing, and includes a print controller, software tools for color and document management, and a range of professional finishing options. The Lanier 2138E will be available immediately. "Exceptional color is a baseline expectation for the majority of printed business documents," said Dominic Pontrelli, vice president of Marketing for Lanier. "But typical desktop color laser printers have serious shortcomings when it comes to speed and consistency of output. The Lanier 2138E enables office users to produce high-quality, full-color and black-and-white documents quickly and cost-effectively, with much more accurate color control." FAST DIGITAL PRINTING FOR COLOR AND BLACK-AND-WHITE WORK The Lanier 2138E prints 28 full-color or 38 black-and-white pages per minute at 1200 dpi resolution. It accommodates paper sizes up to 12" x 18" full-bleed, and holds up to 2,100 sheets to minimize reloading. It also offers standard automatic duplexing at the full rated speed, which helps reduce paper consumption without compromising productivity. Several finishing options are available, including side-binding, top-binding, stapling and two- or three-hole punching. "With its in-line professional finishing capabilities, the Lanier 2138E includes everything users need to print reports, training manuals, marketing materials, policy guides and other documents that combine laser-clean monochrome printing with attractive color graphics," Pontrelli said.
