PrintSmith Named PrintImage International 2002 Supplier of the Year

Press release from the issuing company

May 13, 2002-- PrintImage International--formerly the National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP) named PrintSmith as its Supplier of the Year at the association's Annual Conference and Quick Print Show in Orlando, Florida, February 22-27, 2002. Established in 1999, the Supplier of the Year award annually recognizes the company that best demonstrates consistent and outstanding service, products and/or support to the quick and small commercial print industry. To merit consideration for this award, a company must be a current supplier member of PrintImage International. This year, a record number of printers and copy shop owners participated in the voting process in what proved to be the closest competition for this honor since its inception. PrintSmith, a division of Printcafe Software, is the maker of the popular PrintSmith print shop management software and PrintSmith Site, its e-commerce solution companion. "Whether through estimating software or e-commerce solutions, PrintSmith continually meets the current and evolving demands of today's printer by providing the tools necessary to maintain and grow a business. Our members have rewarded PrintSmith's forward-thinking and continued dedication to the industry with this esteemed award," said Steve Johnson, PrintImage International president and CEO. Other well-respected industry suppliers nominated for the prestigious award, General Binding Corporation (GBC) and Coastal Business Supplies, proved to be formidable competitors. Previous recipients of this award include Printer's Plan by SoftUSE, Heidelberg USA, Discount Labels and Xerox. Formed in 1975 as NAQP, PrintImage International provides services to more than 1600 quick printing, copying, and small commercial printing members, located in the United States, Canada and several foreign countries. Members include both independent printers and franchise businesses, and the focus of the organization is on entrepreneurial printers and owner-operated businesses. Through working relationships with other graphics and print communication organizations, PrintImage International advances the interests of the industry domestically and internationally. The association conducts industry research, educational conferences, and a tradeshow for the graphics and allied industries.
