ITI’s Super-Wide, Dual Production Direct-to-Fabric / Transfer Paper Sublimation Printer Is Now Available with High-Speed Kyocera Print Heads

Press release from the issuing company

Inkjet Technology, Inc. (ITI) is introducing their latest 3.2 meter, dual production mode textile printer – the ITI3200-TXK. This newest model comes configured with Kyocera KJ4B high-speed production print heads and is available in a 2 or 4 Kyocera print head configuration for speeds up to 2,195 sqft/hr. The Kyocera heads complement our existing ITI3200-TXR printer configured with Ricoh Gen5 heads (speeds up to 1,300 sqft/hr.) that was just released at the 2016 SGIA Expo and is now shipping.

The ITI3200-TXK is identical in size, format, and build specifications to its sister model except that this new printer incorporates an advanced media handling system in the rear of the printer to accommodate both transfer paper and direct-to-fabric media. This Kyocera model utilizes the same ITI specially developed OEM ink formulation that can be used for both of these dual production applications.  An optional internal bottom-mounted heater is available for direct-to-fabric applications. The ITI3200-TXK comes standard with an internal vacuum system to securely hold down transfer paper, especially thin paper, and prevent cockling. The printer also comes standard with an ink collection gutter assembly to handle direct-to-fabric printing on polyester or mesh-type textiles.

Both the new Kyocera model and the Ricoh Gen5 model offers customers multiple price points with print head configuration options that relate to end user budget considerations and application requirements. Textile shops will definitely benefit from ITI’s textile printers utilizing dual production media modes, saving the expense and space of owning two separate printers.

Paul McGovern, ITI General Manager states, “ITI has raised the bar with these new dual production textile printers that incorporate innovative and advanced media handling systems along with dual purpose sublimation ink solutions.  In the 3.2-meter-wide (10’) textile printer marketplace, ITI is now setting the standard for dual mode production textile printers that are designed for the large textile print shops requiring around-the-clock, reliable, heavy-duty capacity workflow production. These ITI textile printers are ideal for the high quality production of exhibition graphics and banners, transfer paper apparel applications, and home furnishing textiles.”
