StaffingTools.com: New Additions to their Growing Assessment List
Press release from the issuing company
Bloomington, IN – June 12, 2002 –StaffingTools.com, the e-learning company focused on providing testing and training for the graphic communications industry, announced the release of three new assessments: Implementing Color Management for Mac, PageMaker for the PC and Masking in Adobe Photoshop for the PC. The tests are the latest additions to StaffingTools growing library of prepress and graphics assessments.
“Our assessments consist of multiple choice questions geared to test process knowledge, and practical questions that require the user to perform an actual job function in the simulated application,” said Julie Jankowski, Director of Corporate Accounts. “The results of the two tests provide an accurate picture of an employee's overall skill level.”
Masking in Adobe Photoshop for the PC tests the skills required to properly create masks. Areas covered include using the Photoshop selection tool, properly feathering images, creating with layers, masking layers, working with channels and clipping paths.
PageMaker for the PC assesses an individual’s understanding of the vital usage of this software application to prepare files. The test areas are comprised of setting up preferences, importing images, scaling, cropping, rotating, dealing with text and fonts, preparing files for output, creating proofs and postscript files and more.
Implementing Color Management puts a user’s knowledge to the test by assessing the skills needed to manage the color process from scanner to monitor to proofer to press.
Additional assessments covering Scanning and Color Correction in Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Fundamentals are scheduled for release this summer.
