New, Compact Printer Provides Affordable and Quick Laser Printing Offering for Personal Users and Small-to-Mid-Sized Workgroups
IRVINE, Calif.--June 12, 2002-- Toshiba America Business Solutions (TABS) today announced the introduction of the e-STUDIO16P monochrome, digital, laser printer designed for the personal user and small-to-mid-sized workgroups.
Compact and nimble, the e-STUDIO16P meets the growing demand for space efficient and affordable printing solutions that deliver high-speed, powerful performance and exceptional image quality.
With the introduction of the e-STUDIO16P, TABS completes its line-up of comprehensive e-STUDIO workgroup printers with products ranging from 16-40 prints-per-minute in monochrome (e-STUDIO16P, 20P, 25P, 30P, 40P) to 6-20 prints-per-minute in full color (e-STUDIO6CP and 20CP) to address an array of printing environment requirements.
Boasting an impressive 16 pages-per-minute, first-copy-out-time of less than 12 seconds and a 133 MHz processor, the e-STUDIO16P produces fast output and unparalleled print quality. Available standard with 8 MB of RAM memory, the e-STUDIO16P is expandable to 72 MB to provide users with the flexibility needed to handle more complex, graphics-intensive and high-volume print projects.
With one of the smallest footprints in its class, the e-STUDIO16P effectively resolves space limitation issues in the home or corporate office. A standard, built-in 150-sheet tray provides more than adequate paper supply and an optional 250-sheet tray enables users to increase paper capacity without sacrificing space.
"We're proud to introduce the e-STUDIO16P into our cadre of award-winning e-STUDIO printing solutions," said Stephen Rhorer, director, Product Marketing, TABS. "We've seen an increase in demand for advanced, high-performance, affordable printer products that offer top-tier image quality without the hefty price tag. With the e-STUDIO16P, TABS delivers the benefits of a reliable, high-output laser printer to individuals or small-to-mid-sized workgroups with comparable image quality to more expensive alternatives at an attractive price point."
Excellent Image Quality
Featuring true 600 x 600 dpi, the e-STUDIO16P employs advanced Print-Enhancement Technology to create a smoother, clearer image. The use of Print-Enhancement Technology results in image quality equivalent to 1200 dpi and resolutions that provide sharp, professional documents at a fraction of the processing time.
Ease-of-Use and Cost Effective Features
To ensure more proactive management of toner supplies, the e-STUDIO16P offers a low-toner indicator and toner-saver mode. In addition, an intuitive operator panel, single-element toner cartridge and simple drop-in paper-loading cartridge also provide effortless installation, operation and paper-feeding.
Featuring a robust monthly duty cycle of 15,000 pages-per-month, the e-STUDIO16P comes standard with a 3,000-page yield starter cartridge and features an available 6,000-page high-yield replacement cartridge to reduce the need for continuous supply replacement. In addition, standard toner density settings ensure significantly lower operating costs and more efficient use of existing toner supplies.
The e-STUDIO16P comes standard with letter and legal-sized paper handling and accommodates a variety of media types including plain paper, letterhead, envelopes, cardstock and transparencies. PostScript Level 2 and PCL6 emulation, and parallel printing and USB support also come standard for added connectivity options to any PC.
The e-STUDIO16P is compatible with major network operating systems, including Apple Macintosh System 8.6 or higher, Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me & Windows NT 4.0. Suggested MSRP for the e-STUDIO16P is $399.
