Presstek and MAN Roland Partner to Offer Six-Up CTP Solution

Press release from the issuing company

HUDSON, N.H., June 12 -- Presstek, Inc. and MAN Roland Inc. today announced they have entered into an agreement to combine the capabilities of Presstek's Dimension400 CTP systems and chemistry-free Anthem plates with MAN Roland's six-up press lines- the Roland 300 and the new Roland 500. "We believe this agreement creates a strong combined offering of superb printing equipment, consumables and high technology ideally mixed for the small and mid-size printer," said David Ventola, general manager of Presstek's CTP business unit. MAN Roland's Director or Marketing, Christian Cerfontaine, said, "Our customers will now have access to an end-to-end automated workflow in the six- up size. It begins with the Dimension400 and is completed by the Roland 300 and Roland 500. This combination, which includes Presstek's chemistry-free Anthem plates, is the first in the industry to answer the need of six-up printers who previously had to purchase eight-up CTP systems if they wanted to image their plates digitally." Solution Showing at Training Center A Presstek Dimension400 CTP system is now installed at MAN Roland's Westmont, IL Graphic/Training Center, and will digitally image plates for the six-up presses the company uses in demonstrations and training. "The Presstek system provides an option that's ideally configured for our 300 and 500 machines," said Cerfontaine.
