Internationally-Renowned Products Research Firm Awards Ricoh Digital Products
WEST CALDWELL, N.J.---June 11, 2002--Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable Digital output company, announced today that it is the recipient of four Business Equipment Research & Test Laboratories (BERTL) 7th Annual - Digital Office Awards "Best of the Best" 2002.
BERTL (Digital Test Lab) based the awards on a year-long analysis, from June 2001 through May 2002, of approximately 200 digital imaging products, which included comprehensive testing of product capabilities and feedback from resellers and end-users. Following a detailed review of Ricoh's entire product portfolio, the company was awarded the "Digital Mono Copier-Printer Range of the Year 2002," the top distinction in the overall product assessment by BERTL. Additionally, Ricoh received awards in the following categories:
* "Best High Speed CRD/Print for Pay Device" - Ricoh's Aficio 1105 & 1085 have been recognized for their high levels of functionality at a distinctive low price point.
* "Most Business Efficient Range of Software Utilities across a Copier-Printer MFP Range" - Ricoh's software solutions, including Document Server, Next Generation Architecture, SmartNet Monitor and Recovery Print have earned top rating in this category for their wide range of capabilities for both walk-up and desktop users and ability to support knowledge workers in achieving increased efficiency with all digital product activities in the workplace.
* "Best Copier-Centric Graphics-Arts Device" - The Ricoh Aficio 6513, a complete color digital imaging system for professional use, has achieved a top ranking for its efficiency in high-volume paper management and best-in-class color and image quality, among other features.
